DIY saved us money!
Price was lower than other sellers. I watched a couple of videos on how to install it. It was not a difficult job, just time consuming. Hardest part was unscrewing the covering, squeezing inside the refrigerator and then making sure we put everything back they way it should be. Using a small paint scraper helped to unglue the old assembly, being real careful not to break any of the plastic covering. Otherwise, my husband and I were able to replace it; took us a few hours to get everything back to normal. My dad was very happy that annoying sound was gone. Would def buy again from Sears Parts Direct.

No Part Installation Instructions Came
The part came without installation instructions. Was referred to 4 different Sears help line numbers and spent 2 hours or more to final get an email. Received a link to generic UTube Video that was not specific to the Sears Part. This installation requires hook up to 2 limit switches. This part has been installed yet the refrigerator side is not cooling as effectively as it should. That leads us to believe that the sensor is not placed correctly on the refrigerator side near the damper. Yet, no one knows and can inform us to how to adjust. Accordingly, we are on our own but we will figure it out to ensure that the refrigerator is calling for cooling.
