Made a good choice
I had to choose between replacing the pad on a Craftsman orbital sander or to buy a brand new sander. I chose to replace the pad for ten dollars plus shipping. On receiving the replacement part, it fits perfectly and works great, so I am happy.

A definite improvement
The original part did not last very long. This new design looks to be much more durable. I have only used it for a short time, but it works great. Overall, the sander is easy to use and is lightweight.

Not what I wanted
I carefully described what I wanted, complete with part numbers from the instruction booklet that came with the 3-D sander. What I got was five inch sanding discs and back up pa;ds. My snad uses one and five eights inch discs and backup pads. I wanted to return them only to learn that one of the items were non-returnable. To make matters more distastful I spelled my name for him three times and he still spelled it wrong. That's the same reason I closed my Sears account years ago.

Replacements
Removed 4 screws and reassembled with new replacement. Just wish I could get the bearing also but has been discontinued. Hope to find a replacement.
