Electrical safety precautions to follow when using your Pro Tech shop press

• The shop press power cord plug must match the receptacle on the electrical wall outlet. Never modify the shop press power cord plug in any manner. Don't use an adapter plug with an earth grounded shop press.
• Don't expose the shop press to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the shop press will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Check the condition of the power cord before using the shop press. Repair damaged wires in the power cord or replace the power cord if it's damaged before using the shop press.
• When operating the shop press outdoors, use an extension cord rated for outdoor use to prevent the chance of electrical shock.
• If operating the shop press in a damp location or around a water source, use a GCFI protected power supply.

Work area safety guidelines to follow when using your Pro Tech shop press

• Work in a well-lit area so you can clearly see the work piece and the location of the drill bit.
• Make sure that your work area is well-ventilated. Don't operate your shop press in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
• Keep children and bystanders away from the work area when operating the shop press. Distractions can cause you to lose control of the shop press.
• Wear work gloves to protect your hands and eye protection when using the shop press.
