Cleaning the speaker wire terminals on LXI speakers

  • Turn off the amplifier or receiver that you have the speakers connected to.
  • Disconnect all speaker wires from the backs of the speakers.
  • Use a vacuum cleaner hose with a narrow hose attachment to vacuum dust and debris from all speaker wire terminals.
  • Use a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean deposits from all speaker wire terminals.
  • Allow the terminals to dry completely then reconnect all speaker wires.

Cleaning the woofers in your LXI speakers

  • Woofer speaker cones are delicate and easy to punch a hole through so use extreme care when cleaning woofers.
  • Remove the speaker grill. Carefully pull off the speaker grill. Loosen the mounting prongs on the top corners of the speaker by pulling the top edges of the grill out. Repeat the process to loosen the bottom mounting prongs. Carefully remove the speaker grill from the speaker cabinet.
  • Used canned air and a camera lens brush to carefully remove dust and debris from the woofer.
  • Reinstall the speaker grill.
  • Repeat the process to clean the woofer on the other speaker.
