Top replacement parts for KitchenAid electric grills

  • Heating element. The heating element provide the heat for cooking in the electric grill.
  • Control switch. The control switch sends current to the heating element and controls the level of heating in the grill.
  • Power cord. The power cord supplies the grill with electric current from the wall outlet.
  • Cooking grate. The cooking grate holds the items being grilled.

What to do when your KitchenAid electric grill won't power up

  • Check the electrical outlet for power. Plug a different electrical item in the outlet to check for power. If the outlet is dead, reset the house circuit breaker for the outlet. If the outlet is still dead after resetting the breaker, have an electrician fix the outlet.
  • If the outlet is okay, unplug the grill and check the power cord. Replace or repair the power cord if it's damaged. Reconnect any loose power cord wires.
  • With the grill still unplugged, check for continuity through the control switch using a multimeter. If the meter measures no continuity through the control switch with the switch in the on position then replace the control switch.
  • Measure resistance through the element and replace the element if your meter measure infinite resistance through the element.
