How to replace the carbon motor brushes on your Emerson radial arm saw

• Unplug the radial arm saw’s power cord from the wall outlet. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.
• Use a slot screwdriver to unscrew the brush caps and then pull out the motor brushes.
• Insert the new carbon brushes into the motor and reinstall the brush caps.
