Easy to install
Easy to take apart and then match up the connectors to the new switch. Screw everything back in. Plug it in and take it for s test drive! All set! $30 saved me from having to buy and all new stove.

This was really a no brainer to install, pretty straight forward. Just take some pictures before you swap out the part/parts. I replaced both switches for my Whirlpool glass top, especially when I got both for well under the price of one at normal price. These are guineune parts. Here was the issue. On my whirlpool glass top range, model number GFE461LVS, both front burners, the ones that have the dual elements were not working right. The smaller part of the burner did not come on unless I used the dual side of the switch. The smaller burner did work if I held the switch in a certain place. You could feel it working and then when I let go, it would stop working. So I knew it was the switch. They both work great now. I should have taken a picture of the one switch. It had a burn mark on one of the sides. On mine, I used a small screw driver to get the connector off the back of the switch. Just do one at a time. See picture. I hope this was helpful for someone else. I did forget to mention that it was easier to get the connector off the back of the switch by removing the 2 mounting screws that hold the switch in place on the front of the range.

easy, plug n play
found the right part on searsdirect.com and part was very easy to install. just make sure when you remount your switch that you have the correct orientation for the knob. but otherwise very simple to just unplug the old and plug in the new. thanks!

You can fix it
Unplug unit. Remove rear panel, pull knob off faulty control, unplug control, remove control. Reverse earlier instructions to fit new control.
