Element for stove

Took a while to get it. But it was worth wait. The price was lower than all the other prices I saw on the web. I got it I installed it and we are using it.

Not the correct element for my model stove.

The replacement element looked similar to the defective element which did have an open circuit in the element itself since it did not heat up. The replacement element limiter was labeled differently on 2 of the contacts. They were reversed which was easy enough, but the notation concerning the "Hot Light" did not coincide with my model stove. My "Hot Light" indicator has "1" on the stove control panel as is the "Cooktop On" indicator light, also. I was troubled by this apparent error in product. I proceded to connect the element with the wire extensions provided in the kit and tested the operation of the element. The element would heat up when turned on, but would dim after a few seconds and would not heat up any at all!! And, the stove top "Hot Light" would remain on ALL of the time and not shut off. This element DOES NOT work correctly. My model Whirlpool stove is glasstop model #RF262LXSQ0.

replacing heating element on smooth top stove

My hardest job was finding the model number of my stove (written on the back side of a flap that folded down behind the stove).. The new part came promptly and was easy to install.

Had to adjust it

The range heating element was different than the original one (which is pictured on this page) with two extra cables that required some figuring out how to use them and then install (easy part).

your element only works on high heat, dont works on low or midium heat. i am sending it back to you

It was easy to install for a DYI that can use a screwdriver and needle nose plyer

Easy peasy.

Just needed a Phillips screwdriver to do the entire job.
