WHIRLPOOL - Range Surface Element Control Switch
Took a while to receive, only minutes to install. New knob sets a bit proud when compared to the others but, it works as it should. Happy the repair part is still available.

Easy to install surface element control
Took less than 20 minutes to install. Turn off the breaker for the range and pulled range out from between cabinets. There are about 10 hex head screws that hold the back cover on. Remove these screws with a 5/16' nut driver. Remove cover by pulling out on the bottom and then tilt out from the top. Simply pull the knob off the element control switch to the 2 Phillips tip screws that hold the element control switch in place. Remove these 2 screws and pull the control switch out the back. There are several wire set in two different connectors. Remove them one at a time and then install it on the new control before removing the other wire connector. Remove second connector and install it on the new control. These connectors will only go on one way and if you install them the way as I've just described above you can't mess up. Re-install controller through the back panel, install the two Phillips head screws that hold it in place, push the knob back onto the controller, install the back cover by tilting it in under the top flange and then tilt it down to line up screw holes, install the ten 5/16' hex head screws, slide range back in place, turn breaker on, and your finished.
