Easy install (light duty welder required).
Fits craftsman DYS 4500. Easy install. Alignment holes make positioning simple with use of two 3/8X1 bolts. Grind off old welds carefully as frame material is not very thick. New piece welds in perfectly and drive belt aligns correctly. 4 weld points were each about 2Ó in length.

Fits Perfectly
Perfect replacement after my transmission broke the mounting holes of the original. It broke both torque straps also. This was the least expensive site that I could find this part on. Very happy to be mowing again!

removal and install lawn tractor drawbar lower
Axle mount flange on old lower broke. Had to support tractor in order for the axle to be removed. had to take wheels off axle to remove bolts holding lower to upper frame. the n had to cut two welds on each side to remove lower from frame. when installing new lower had to use drifts to align the 3/8"holes in lower and frame, due to the stiffness of the frame and the lower. Had to provide the bolts as the welds were holding the lower to the frame. drift was also necessary to align axle mounting holes with flanges, connections between axle and drive train very stiff.. angle grinder with cutting wheel is a must when removing lower from frame.
