Replace the door Interlock swi, not the Microwave!
Some simple troubleshooting led me to a burned out door interlock micro switch which cost eight bucks compared to either a Magnetron at several hundred dollars or throwing away the whole microwave oven and starting over again. Sears parts made it extremely simple to find this part and I replaced it and now my microwave is working perfectly again.

plater turns when door is opened
Once I got the microwave cabinet open I was able to locate and test the defective switch. I used a DMM with clips so that I could operate the switch and check for function in place.

Microwave Door switches, shipped wrong.
I ordered microwave door interlock switches: 2 of 6600W1K001D and 1 of 6600W1K001C but I received: 1 of 6600W1K001D and 2 of 6600W1K001C. I wish I could exchange the wrong switch "C" with switch "D". (normally open switch vs normally closed switch)

Switch replacement
Installation was straightforward and quite easy-it snapped right in. The difficulty was in removing the old switch without damaging the plastic receptacle. Shipping charges for this tiny switch were not reasonable.

Sent wrong part for second time
I ordered part part with part number ending in D, not A. I can't repair my microwave until I receive the correct part. It has three door switches. Two have part numbers ending in C and one in B. Please call me at 757 876-9482.

Exact replacement
Exact replacement easy to install microwave works perfectly now. Only thing is the tamper resistant screws on microwave needs a special screwdriver bit also be very careful with tabs holding switch in place the can break easily.

No instructions given to assist the do it yourselfer on how to get old switch out. Ended up snapping off plastic piece that holds it in.
