Worked very well

After comparing prices and factoring in time and labor, I decided it was easier to replace the whole spindle assembly as a unit than just the broken line holder. The placement of the bolts in the housing was problematic and the self tapping bolts were a ridiculous cop out but it all worked. Here’s a tip: clamp the assembly gently in a vice and run ALL FOUR of the self tapping bolts in all the way then take them out. Then hold the assembly in place on the machine and start the bolts in the holes. Now the threads are cut and you can turn the bolts with your fingers which is a huge help.

Complete unit

It came fully assembled and all I had to do was install it! The 4 'screw' holes are not tapped they are just a clean drilled hole! I just used stainless bolts with washers and lock washers and it'll Neve come loose! Otherwise easy instal and works perfectly!

Full replacement is the way to go.

Replacement was exact fit and cheaper than purchasing most of the parts I needed individually. Very easy replace. Recommend you buy an extra ball.

Line Trimmer Spindle Assembly (For a walk behind)

I received the Line Trimmer Assembly in a timely manner. Soon after receiving it, I placed the Walk Behind Trimmer into the back of my pickup and on the tailgate I began removing the old assembly. It took approximately 45 minutes to install the new one. I lifted it down and started it up and started trimming around my garage and sidewalk. Worked excellent!

Exactly what I needed

It wasn't too hard to install, although it had unthreaded holes which required me to run a tap through them first. Other than that it had my trimmer back up and running in about 30 minutes.

All in one piece

I really only needed to replace two of the components of this; however, this was so much easier and now all is new

So much easier them replacing one part!

seen other reviews of this assembly stating the mounting holes where not threaded. this is an extra step the manufacture skipped and utilized the bolts that they did instead! I started the bolt in the hole one needing a slight tap with a hammer and screwed them right into the unthreaded holes... it was not easy with hand tools... but my 1/2" impact worked wonderfully!
