I ordered this ahead of time for my Kenmore one piece stacked washer and dryer so that it would be available for my contractor during remodeling. The W/D was being pulled out to paint and install new flooring, so it was a good time to replace the dryer vent hose, the 2 water hoses and this drain hose.
The old one had a connection outside the washer so that most of the hose could be replaced by just pulling it apart at a joint and replacing most of the hose. This one requires that the back of the appliance be removed, which my contractor did not have time for. Plus, he did not want to be responsible for taking apart my appliance.
Ease of installation? Who knows. Never got to that step, but the rating form required a response.
So $60 plus wasted. I am going to keep it just in case the hose ever does leak and hope that it is the right one when the time comes. That will be the reason to pull the appliance out again.
Also, there were no instructions, and it was a different brand of hose than Kenmore.
I used to buy appliances from Sears because they were reliable and you could easily get parts. Brand loyalty to Sears? Down the replacement drain hose, so to speak.
