Item was poorly packed and shipped. The projecting contacts for the heater coil and the ground, are sharp pointed rods sticking out about an inch from the body of the ice mold. There was no attempt made to protect them with any packing or retainer cardboard. They had repeatedly made holes in the side of the carton. Thankfully they were not bent. However, I have not installed it yet, because it is my "spare" when the one in service fails. I have bought these from Sears for many years. The first ice molds had the contact protected with small cardboard tubes. The last one I bought was at least bubble wrapped so it didn't slide around in the carton.

Works perfect!
The ice cube mold can get corroded, and when this happens, the cubes won't come out so easily anymore. This icemaker mold replaced my 17-year-old mold perfectly. It was a direct fit drop in. First I had to remove the icemaker from the refrigerator. Next I had to disconnect the old ice, mold from the controller and then put the new ice mold in. Once I had that back together, I put it back into the refrigerator, connected the wires, and now my icemaker works like new.

Overpriced Ice Mold
The Ice Mold was replaced since the original had corroded and remnants would be found in the ice cubes. It was replaced simultaneously with the Water Inlet Valve after having the Ice Maker continuously icing up and stopping.

Easy to install.
It was mostly easy to replace. The hardest part was unplugging the power cable. I completed the replacement in about 30 minuets.

Nicely conforming
Anytime an essential part must be replaced, for and fit are critical before one can verify function. This was effortless as a handy home hubby task. New ice is coming with no more pieces of old teflon liner buried in ice cubes.

Terrible documentation
There was no documentation. No receipt. No installations. I can't fathom how this recommended part will solve the issue. The ic cubes are in the holding bin and do not discharge???
