Works perfect!
The ice cube mold can get corroded, and when this happens, the cubes won't come out so easily anymore. This icemaker mold replaced my 17-year-old mold perfectly. It was a direct fit drop in. First I had to remove the icemaker from the refrigerator. Next I had to disconnect the old ice, mold from the controller and then put the new ice mold in. Once I had that back together, I put it back into the refrigerator, connected the wires, and now my icemaker works like new.

It was mostly easy to replace. The hardest part was unplugging the power cable. I completed the replacement in about 30 minuets.

Ice Mold Replacement
Ordered this to repair a leaking ice maker and followed a how-to video on another parts supplier's website (Sears charged less for the part). My fridge is a Kenmore Top Freezer but made by Whirlpool. Directions were pretty thorough and simple. The video didn't include the Max Ice attachment I have but it just naps on the front instead of the normal cover. Works like a charm!

Tight fit but not complicated
DON'T FORGET TO UNPLUG ice maker before removing. Unplug, remove 3 screws to detach entire unit from freezer, then remove the end plate (4 screws) and disassemble. Replace the tray and put everything back together! The whole job took maybe 30 minutes.
