craftsman mower MODEL 917.376583 drive cable
Expensive, but was the exact part I needed and it fit the old craftsman MODEL 917.376583 I have. Part arrived in about a week. Took 20 mins to put on. Feed it all the way through. But attach the spring end first before before winding onto the handle pulley. I had to slacken off the cable a bit to get it onto the pulley and then tighten it back up after.

It's not the easiest thing to do but works great now. Need to grease the pivot slide point that's where the original cable frayed.

Exact Fit, Form, and Function Replacement!
This control cable was ordered as a replacement on a Craftsman 22" Self-Propelled mower.
