Ice cube auger motor repair
A few months ago our Sears refrigerator/freezer stopped running while we were gone. The ice cubes in the dispenser bin melted and the water leaked down into the auger motor. When the unit was back and running we realized that the ice dispenser did not work. I called the repair guy and he said the auger motor was probably froze up. He told me how to remove it which was fairly easy. We took it out and tried drying it out for several days. Water came out of it and I reinstalled it. It made a couple turns and stopped. I removed it and ordered a new one. Put it in and it is back working again. GOOD IDEA TO SHUT YOUR ICE CUBE MAKER OFF WHEN YOUR GONE AND DUMP THE ICE BIN!,

Worst experience ever!
The delivery of the part was two weeks late, I've been trying since then to get a refund with no success! I will never use sears again.

Saears Parts Direct has Issues
I ordered a refrigerator Auger motor and refrigerator Auger motor bracket. I received a refrigerator Auger Motor Bracket and a Vent Kit for a dryer. As handy as I am...I couldn't make the vent kit fit in the refrigerator auger motor spot. Sears Parts Direct is now sending me a refrigerator Auger Motor - let's see what I get this time. Shame on Sears Parts Direct for their lack of quality control...in shipping!!!
