Perfect replacement
Our burner went out then just a couple days later our dishwasher failed and we needed a new one. I thought great now we need two new appliances. I started taking the stove apart since it was only the left front burner that stopped. Seemed easy enough so I jumped online to see if I could find a part. I found it here and it was perfect. I had to do a little more research to get the exact name but once I did I purchased it. It arrived well packaged and I got to work. It was a perfect replacement and worked on the first try and every try since! Thank you!!

Easy install
Make sure you follow all safety precautions prior to performing any work on your gas oven/stovetop. Unbolt the housing from the top of the stovetop, prior to removing the metal stovetop housing. Do not over tighten the part.

Easy installation, but there's one thing.......
Here's the thing-- all I needed was the igniter! I didn't need to spend $48 plus shipping for the whole fixture! But I couldn't find that specific igniter anywhere, so I was stuck. I only removed the bad igniter and replaced it with the new one that came with the fixture, clipped it in & I was done in less time than it took me to open up the stovetop.

No documentation!
The part itself was fine and exactly what I ordered. I did require help to locate the part as the Kenmore booklet I have from the time of purchase lacks a portion of the model number. However, once I received the part there was no documentation on how to install it. Okay, turn to youtube.... But here too it was impossible to find a video on how to install a surface burner igniter as opposed to the oven igniter (for which there are many videos). Eventually by googling "replace stove top" I got enough information to figure out the process.
