Second time in 18 months...
I replaced this top about 18 months ago, and had to replace it again. No idea why it keeps cracking. But SearsDirect shipped it quickly -- much more quickly than they'd originally estimated, so I'm very happy about that.

Great fit/replacement cooktop
Fit perfectly! I dropped a cast iron pan on my old cooktop and needed a replacement. Check your model number and if it matches, you're all set. To disassemble old top and install new one, took about 1/2 hour if you have the right tools.

Product was as described, had a small gap in a minimal spot where glass top is sealed in place (not big enough a deal to replace), but otherwise a Great product with easy install

Easy to install, quality product
Except for being careful not to lose the tiny screws in the insulation blanket or down the inside of the stove, one thing that I would recommend would be to put the screws into the top while it is on the floor. The paint coating makes them hard to start and even more difficult when you are working upside down.

Easy to install
You'll figure it out but if what you are replacing is cracked which I'm sure is why you need to replace then have a shop vac for glass pieces ready and this is way easier with 2 buddies I also used a prop but the burners are really heavy and they make everything look too easy in the video. Def use a prop but two buddies will help when you need to reattach the burners . they are on a bar but when you screw in To get both sides screwed in you will need at least your spouse! But great part and saved us 300$ in repair costs. And was some fun diy oven works great. part was backordered but resolved itself within a few days. I would just order basic shipping since it was backordered 3 day shipping doesn't work as in we got it over a week later and took another week to get people to help so should have saved the 40 bux
