Perfect fit
Easy to install, the hardest part was screwing the elements back on. The new holes are tight. The enamel coating over the metal I think is why it's tight.

Exact Match and Easy to Install
Straightforward replacement that was not difficult (need only a Phillips screwdriver). It appears that the metal frame onto which the glass top is glued is coated after the holes are made therefore the coating partially occludes the screw holes. I just had to drill out the holes to accept the screws and all went smoothly after that.

BUYER BEWARE!
Please read this before buying this replacement top. This is not a direct replacement for a JES9800CAS02. I saw the other review saying the holes didn't match up and were too small. I figured they bought the wrong model or something, as searspartsdirect assured me that this would fit the model number I provided them. Once this product arrived, the quality looked pretty good, so I began to transfer the actual burners over. This is where the issues started. The holes to accept the original stove top screws are too small on this replacement. It did not come with replacement screws and did not say that i needed them. Anyways ended up just drilling the holes larger to accept the screws, no big deal. I then placed this replacement top onto the main body of the oven..... The holes on the left side of this replacement top did NOT match up with the holes to the main body of the oven. This is a huge problem as i can not secure the left side down. The right side ended up matching up. Whatever template they are using to drill these holes are incorrect! Save yourself the time and hassle and purchase a replacement elsewhere. ***In terms of customer service, look at reviews for sears parts direct on the internet. Hope this saves someone some hassle.

Not an exact replacement for Jennair JES9800
We searched for this replacement top by our model number. It looks like an exact match, but when we went to install, the screw holes to attach the heating elements are smaller so the original screws don't fit and we had to drill them bigger. The screw holes on the sides also don't line up with the holes on the stove to attach the top to the range. I don't understand why they would have changed the design but still sell it as a replacement.
