I cannot believe that the two screws that hold the shield cost $3.95 a piece. That's ridiculous! It is a good thing I did not order them because we were able to use the existing screws. No wonder the stores are closing!!! That's highway robbery. I like the Kenmore washers, the old one I had lasted me 32 years. But this new agitator-less machine was the pits. It took 75 minutes to go through a normal cycle. It could not handle blankets. And it made a terrible grinding noise during the entire process.
The clothes sometimes did not get clean. I do not tend to overstuff my washer tubs, but sometimes some of the clothes were not even wet and the end of the long awaited 75 minutes. So, I got the parts, replaced them, set the machine on the curb and bought a different brand that had an agitator. I only had that machine for 4 years. What a shame. I guess the manufacturer cut corners in an effort to be "energy efficient". This new machine I have now is energy efficient and yet I can call for more water if I need to. Sorry, Sears.
As for the parts, I have nothing to compare regarding delivery of the parts. What can I say, everything is a mess with COVID 19. However, KUDOS to Sears for sending me 2 emails (or texts, I forget which) for letting me know the status of the parts. I really appreciated that.
