Sears seals the deal!

Sears service and products have been a mainstay in our family for generations. Our basement flooded and we went into repair mode on all the damaged items including our many decades old Kenmore washer. Broke the machine down, replaced the plastic gear in the transmission due to wear, cleaned the remaining parts with a bit of very light sanding on the brake drum. Reassembled the machine and it works just like the day we bought it all those years ago. The repair was very easy using YouTube videos however I did have considerable difficulty removing the drive block nut since we don't have a spanner wrench. I still rated the repair as very easy because I didn't have the proper tool. There is now one other problem...it runs so quietly I can't hear through the laundry shoot if it's time to run in the basement and throw the load in the dryer!
