Squeal at the spin cycle?

Had a horrible squeal at the beginning of the spin cycle. The original part (shaft) had worn down and thrown it's "C" clip. Over an 1/8 inch of metal was gone. Replaced with new and all is good. I recommend that the Thrust Washer be replaced at the same time, which I did.

Fixed My Washer!

This was the part, along with the drive block, that stopped my Kenmore washer from making loud noise at the end of the spin cycle. Found some excellent youtube videos with step by step durections...made this repair pretty easy!

Replaced clutch and basket drive on a 1988 Kenmore special edition solid state WASHER. PREVIOUSLY I replace both the control board and power boards. This old washer with super capacity can't be replaced. Washer has the most choices for your cloths and house hold needs I'm so used to my back up whirlpool units seem like toys. Part fit as expected and working properly. Unfortunately, it came in an oversized box with no packing paper or wrap, etc around it which caused it to roll around and leave several holes in the cardboard and potentially damage the clutch housing. .
