  • Remove the speaker grilles and wipe down the speaker case using a damp microfiber cloth. Dry the speaker cabinet using a dry lint-free cloth.
  • Carefully use canned air to gently blow dust off speaker cones. Wipe speakers horns using the dry lint-free cloth.
  • Clean the speaker grills using a lint roller then reinstall the speaker grilles on the speakers.

Safety tips for your JVC compact stereo system

  • Unplug the compact stereo system's power cord from the electrical wall outlet before performing any repair, cleaning or maintenance.
  • If you're not going to use the compact stereo system for a long period of time, disconnect the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
  • Use a surge protector to reduce the possibility of electronic control board and internal wiring damage due to electrical surges or spikes in current through the power supply during electrical storms.
  • Don't use the compact stereo system if you spill liquids on the cabinet because the liquids can short out components inside the compact stereo and cause electrical shock. Unplug the compact stereo system and have a service technician examine and repair the system before using it again.
