Electrical safety precautions to follow when using your Sears power screwdriver

• The power screwdriver plug or battery charger plug must match the receptacle on the electrical wall outlet. Never modify the power screwdriver power cord plug or battery charger plug in any manner. Don't use an adapter plug with an earth grounded power screwdriver.
• Don't expose the power screwdriver to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the power screwdriver will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Check the condition of the power cord or battery charger power cord before using the power screwdriver or battery charger. Repair damaged wires in the power cord or replace the power cord if it's damaged before using the power screwdriver or battery charger.
• When operating the power screwdriver outdoors, use an extension cord rated for outdoor use to prevent the chance of electrical shock.
• If operating the power screwdriver or battery charger in a damp location or around a water source, use a GCFI protected power supply.

Installing and removing the battery pack on your Sears power screwdriver

• For best results, fully charge the battery pack before installing it on the power screwdriver.
• Push the battery pack release button and remove the battery pack from the battery charger.
• Position the battery pack near the power screwdriver handle and align the battery pack slots with the rails inside the power screwdriver handle.
• Slide the battery pack into the handle and push the battery pack in until it fully seats.
• Pull the battery pack backward to make sure it's fully seated and latched in the power screwdriver handle.
• To remove the battery pack, press the release button and slide the battery pack out of the power screwdriver handle.
