Battery charger safety instructions for your DeWalt power drill

  • Don't use the battery charger in explosive atmospheres such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Inserting or removing the battery pack from the charger can ignite dust or fumes.
  • Never force to battery pack into the battery charger.
  • Don't modify the battery pack in any way to fit into a non-compatible battery charger. The battery pack can rupture and cause serious personal injury if it's inserted into a non-compatible battery charger.
  • Don't splash or immerse the battery charger in water or other liquids.
  • Don't use the battery charger in locations where temperatures exceed 105-degrees F.

Installing and removing the battery pack on your DeWalt power drill

  • For best results, fully charge the battery pack before installing it on the power drill.
  • Push the battery pack release button and remove the battery pack from the battery charger.
  • Position the battery pack near the power drill handle and align the battery pack slots with the rails inside the power drill handle.
  • Slide the battery pack into the handle and push the battery pack in until it fully seats.
  • Pull the battery pack backward to make sure it's fully seated and latched in the power drill handle.
  • To remove the battery pack, press the release button and slide the battery pack out of the power drill handle.
