• Cartridge filter. The cartridge filter traps dust and dirt from exhaust air when you vacuum dry areas using your shop vacuum.
• Foam sleeve filter. Remove the cartridge filter and install the foam sleeve filter when vacuuming liquids with your shop vacuum.
• Fine dust filter. Use the fine dust filter when vacuuming drywall dust, fireplace soot or ash.
• Drain cover. The drain cover seals the drain hole at the bottom of the canister. Remove the drain cover when draining the canister.

Vacuuming liquids using your Craftsman wet/dry vacuum

• Unplug the power cord to disconnect power from the shop vacuum.
• Remove the paper cartridge filter then install the foam sleeve filter.
• Plug in the power cord and turn on the shop vacuum.
• Vacuum the liquids using the proper attachments.
• A float valve stops suction action when the canister is full of water. Empty the canister when the float valve trips.
• After use, empty the collection tank and dry the inside of the canister before storage.
