Some common issues that arise with Sanyo products

Here are some problems that can occur with Sanyo's appliances.

  • Refrigerator not cooling. Check for power. See if the electrical outlet has power. Reset the house circuit breaker for the outlet if the electrical outlet is dead. Check the power cord. Replace the power cord if it's worn or broken. If the power cord is okay, you may need to replace the refrigerator cold control thermostat.
  • Microwave won't power up. Check the electrical outlet for power. Reset the house circuit breaker if the outlet is dead. If the outlet has power, a fuse inside the microwave may be blown.
  • The DVD player skips. Clean the laser lens to prevent skipping.

Diagnosing your Sanyo vacuum cleaner when it won't run

First, make certain the vacuum cleaner is plugged into a working outlet. This might sound obvious but is often overlooked. Test the outlet by plugging another electronic device into it. If the electrical outlet works, check the power cord. Replace the power cord if it's frayed or broken. If the power cord is okay, reset the overload protector on the vacuum motor. If these tips don't help, then you may need to replace a broken switch or a failed motor.
