cleaning Lint screen receptacle region

Dryer lint brushes are used to clean out the lint that gets past the lint screen. This happens when the screen is damaged such as a rip in the screen.. it may also happen over the course of owning the dryer. A Sears maintenance technician told me you should clean out the lint screen receptacle area of the dryer about once every six months.
