The pulley is an off white, yellowish cream color. Doesn't matter in the end but was confused why it wasn't black like the picture. Our washer has rocked since we moved into our home a year ago, due to the slanted basement floor. We secured it, but it would seem years of rocking with the prior owner wore out the drive belt and eventually broke the plastic motor pulley. It took hours to try and get the broke pulley off, till I saw a random YouTube video that showed how you need to apply heat (hair dryer) to the broke pulley and then pull really hard or leverage a hammer to get it off. Which worked!! Wish that video wasn't so remote on the internet. I then used a socket wrench extension that fit over the center of the pulley to hammer it into place. Washer works again, water drains, agitating agitates!
Only rated as hard to install and time consuming because I spent hours trying to get the old pulley off till I found that helpful video.
