Door spring WP8270020 is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some dishwashers in these series: Kenmore and Kenmore Elite 665; KitchenAid KDFE and KUD; Ikea IUD; and Whirlpool 7GU, 7WD, BLB, DW, GU, WDF and WDT.
Door spring WP8270020 applies tension to the dishwasher door through the door hinge to prevent the door from dropping too quickly when you open the dishwasher.
Use caution when installing the door spring because the spring is under tension and could snap.
Replaces original dishwasher door spring part number 8270020.

What good is a part if Sears won't return to install it?
No problem getting the part in the mail but just try getting a Sears technician out to your house to install it. What a joke! They transfer you to 10 people on the phone but never give you an appointment.

Dishwasher Pulley Assembly Balance Link
The wrong part needed was not supplied. The spring was sent instead of the pulley assembly. No part was installed as I had to go back to the start and try to find somebody at Sears who could sell me the right part

Diahwasher door tension
It was not the part I needed. The door cable link was the part that broke. Next time I will pull the dishwasher out and inspect.
