Extremely easy install

I don't have much experience with newer machines, but our older Kenmore is super reparable. All the electronics are modularized into components like this, which are inexpensive and easy to replace. I suspect newer machines are not intended to be repaired, and won't have these convenient designs. If you have an older machine, keep it!
