Get diagnostic, then install part to save big $
Relatively inexpensive part. You can see why it might fail. It was a bit of trouble to get to, but it worked fine after installation and saved me $450 by installing it myself as opposed to a Sears technician. Otherwise it was a throw-away fridge after ~3.5 years of service.
