Good Customer Service - Bad Supply Chain?
We ordered the set screw and got the mounting bolt instead...twice :( The mounting bolts screw into the refrigerator door; the door handle fits over the mounting bolts; the set screws cinch the handle to the mounting bolts for a tight fit. The problem stems from the owner's manual for the refrigerator. The manual identifies all of the parts for the refrigerator, but the set screws are not identified. Thus, the customer service representatives did not know what to order for me. I must say, the representatives were very polite and tried to understand my description of the set screws (hex-screws; no head on the screws; looks like a fat, little caterpillar or a threaded cylinder). However, I must need to rethink how I explain things ;) After two (2) attempts, the representatives refunded my money. I went to a hardware store and found what I needed in their "specialty screws & fasteners" section for $1.64.
