Good product, not so good support and packaging
It was easy to order the product. However, the wrong model ice maker was sent first, which I had to return and get the right one. Packaging is flimsy for this product - very cheap and flimsy cardboard.

Website said the unit was a match for my fridge model number - but it is ever so slightly different. Had to return and order the correct part.... just inconvenient.

Part arrived in a damaged box, but the part appeared to be undamaged. Insatlled the ice maker and it produces ice with plastic shavings in it. The ice is unusable.

Buy the part and replace it yourself
Before you pay to have a technician diagnose your icemaker, replace it on your own first. My tech in 10- 15 minutes told me that they only last about 3 years, and he quoted me $500 + dollars. After $140.00 labor charge + tax $155.00 to diagnose. I believe to my understanding, tax should not be charged AZ for Labor, with no material used.. Instead of paying $500.00 + I paid $155.00 labor + 187.01 for part to replace myself, $342.01, vs I believe he said $550.00, so I saved $207.99. Next time if my Sears Kenmore Elite ice maker breaks, and is worth replacing, I will replace it myself, spend $!87.01, or best price and part, and save at least < $362.99> Sears pars direct had the best parts price.
