Sears=great service, Jenn Air=questionable quality

Sears service response was fantastic! But Jenn Air quality not what it used to be... I just purchased a new Jenn Air unit but broke the original flimsy cooktop by accident while installing - due to mishandling the loose hard wood in the OEM packaging materials (poor design). Then I purchased a replacement top from Sears. The top was shattered in the box upon arrival due to poor OEM packaging. Sears service allowed a quick, no-hassle return, and I received a new replacement top. First night I finally used the cooktop, I fried chicken, and the grease splatter pitted the cooktop face! The new Jenn Air quality is not what it used to be! Our 20 year-old Jenn Air didn't pit like this and took alot of abuse!!
