This was easy to install. It may have been 20 minutes or even less. Using the cordless screw driver to remove the screws, I found it was easy to pull the old one out and put the new one in. I did not order the cover piece and should have. The old one did peal off the old controller and I was able to use it. The condition was okay but had some scratches and a chip on one side. You cannot see the chip once it was back in the stove.

These Spitfire Brand control boards (sold under the Electrolux label) are not well made. I just installed my third control board in 15 years. The one I just installed this week is significantly redesigned; however, perhaps some of the bugs worked out. Yet, I see that the relays have dropped in size from 15 amp to 10 amp, so this does not inspire any confidence. The redesigned board comes with new serial number that does not match the old, and no instructions or replacement sheet came with the unit. I had to go on-line to Electrolux to make sure the replacement was indeed compatible before installation. You would think they would drop a "this unit replaces such-n-such units" chart in the box before shipping. I have installed a surge protector on the oven now too, as these units are just too prone to fail. The last time was after a power outage, so I am assuming a surge knocked it out, but nothing else in the house was affected--a very delicate piece of equipment!
