Gettin' it done, DIY

Kit had what I needed to do the job. The tube of adhesive was punctured and dried out, and SearsParts replaced it quickly at no charge.

Quality is the difference.

I have tried after market kits and find they lack the quality and fit of the OEM. Its worth the difference. I retired from a major service company and installed a lot of these kits over the years. Save yourself a lot of grief and buy the original parts.

Adhesive had leaked out

The adhesive tube was old and glue had leaked out all over the hub, had to scrape it all off and use a different adhesive

Installation was a breeze and repaired washer.

Disassembly is not straight forward. Had to do research to find tips and tricks. Do not purchase a special tool for the bearings, NOT NEEDED. Knock out old bearings with 6" or longer 3/8" extension. Use old bearings and deep well socket to reinstall new bearings. Seal installs itself with only even finger pressure and 1/4" extension tapping around edge to completely seat. Took 35 minutes to reassemble after prepping and cleaning.

Easy as pie!

I ordered my part by looking up my model number. Parts were very easy to find and purchase. Delivery was fast and installation was a breeze! You may pay a little bit more than some other sites but knowing your getting a factory direct part specific to your model is worth the extra money! Very satisfied customer!

Bearing Kit has everything you need

This is tricky to do BUT there are good Youtube videos from PartsDirect that describe it step by step. You definitely need the bearing install tool, which is $20 on Amazon from XiKe Bearings - the tool costs $100 other places. However for the Xike tool, on the inside of the bigger top bearing this tool is tight. You need to shave it off so it slides on and off the bearing easily - took me 5 minutes with a file. You HAVE to buy the OEM part from Sears for the bearing kit. Yes it costs $100 but you have to get the real OEM part and all the proper grease and adhesives. I read reviews of non-OEM parts failing after a few months. The video told us to replace the stator if it has cracks. We had cracks in our stator and did not do that - the stator costs $200 and it works. If it fails we get a new washer.

Horrible Service

Absolutely horrible help and service I am on my third order because the help do NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! If I gfive my Model number and ask for the parts I need, how do they screw it up every time. I am now on my fourth week waiting for parts for my washing machine because they have clueless people working for them in a different country. SHAME on SEARS !!! This is why they went out of business. No Good Customer Care!! I spent the entire day trying to find out where my order is and NO ONE CAN TELL ME !!!!!! This is why I am Leaving this negative review. It shouldn't take a month to get a part. This is just WRONG !!!!!!!!
