Little hard to get retaining clips off but new bypass valve fixed the leak. I would recommend getting new retaining clips

Easy to install should come with new locking clips
Order new locking clips with the bypass valve. Mine were 12 years old and brittle. Broke 1 of 4. Still able to use it

Dry easy to install
The original valve was showing sun damage and before it failed I ordered a ne one. Installing it was easy. Make sure you have depleted your salt tank to allow easy moving of the tank.

Use plumbers tape to prevent leaks.
The instructions do not mention using white plumbers tape around the two pieces when you connect them. After I use the tape, and reconnected the pieces it no longer late. So my vice is to use the white tape when you connect the parts.
