Easy to install
My Husband watched the You Tube video, need a clamp, screwdriver. Took him about 15 mins. Old one was a straight hose adapter, so we had problems with the wiring on the inside, new replacement has a bend in the neck, so it should help.

Hose attachment replacement
The part was exactly what i needed, however it was difficult to replace. No instructions with the piece, however a youtube with a similar piece was available. The vacuum works perfectly, however due to the design of my model i will probably need to replace the piece again. I was extremely happy with the part.

Step 1 is the worse
First, there are no videos that help how to replace this product, except for one that skips over the hardest part ''removing the cap. Dude just said "Clamp here with pressure" but in the end, I used a hammer and flat head to get the piece off. After that, everything was simple and the vacuum now works.

Installing the Vacuum Hose Adapter
The Youtube link that the Customer Service Rep sent via e-mail proved to be invaluable. Removing the old part is definitely not intuitive. Without the opportunity to view the Youtube video, I would not have been able to install the new part.

Difficult to install
The swivel adapter on my Kenmore canister vacuum failed--the clip broke that holds it in place. I contacted Sears for the part who sent a part with an angle (different from the original and what is shown on their website). I watched the YouTube video on how to install but was unable to do so, so I called Searparts back for advice. I was directed to the owner's manual, which was useless. Finally, using the crude instructions on the video, I was able to get the thing to work, although I had to force it and use duct tape to close the gap at the end which was just too stubborn.

Sears Parts Direct Committed Fraud
TWICE I requested a specific part, by name, and by identifying it from a parts diagram. TWICE SPD sent me an UNUSEABLE item: first time, the wrong part; second time, only a portion of the part, which can only be properly configured for use by the factory with another necessary part.
