The Craftsman universal remote control (part number 30498) works with many garage door openers made by Craftsman, Chamberlain and LiftMaster.
Specifically, remote control 30498 works with all Craftsman, Chamberlain and LiftMaster garage door openers made after Jan. 1, 1993, that have green, red, orange, purple or yellow Learn buttons.
You can control up to 3 garage door openers with just one Craftsman universal remote control. The remote includes a metal hook that clips the remote to your car's visor.
To set up the remote control in just minutes, follow the programming instructions included with the remote control.

Garage door remote replacement
The packaging for the remote had previously been opened and not even sealed which leads me to believe it had been returned at some point. I had problems programming the replacement remote and had to reprogram the wall mount and second remote several times before I got them to work correctly.

Does not work with our garage door opener
We followed the instructions and it would not work. You charged us for shipping and said it would work on our garage sale, but it does not, so now we are stuck with paying to send it back. I told you it did not look like the one we have now.

Your chat people were wrong.
I could not find the correct remote for my Craftsman garage door opener. I asked 'chat' and they assured me that they had one that would work. After they ordered it for me I went online to see how to program it. I did not think it would program to my opener because mine does not have a program button on it. I contacted 'chat' again and explained the situation. They said it would come with instructions to program it to my opener. WRONG! I would like to know the frequency so I can try an aftermarket remote.
