very close to the original design
the new part has a place to connect a drain hose that is not on my original. That hose connection stick out an inch into the area the the bottom counterbalance area. I didn't notice it and spent 20 minutes trying to get the counterbalance to seat, unsuccessfully. I cut that port off with a dremel tool, and glued in a rubber cork to seal the hole
