Part does not work correctly

The rod that opens the chute door is too short and does not extend far enough for the actuator to engage. Therefore, the chute door doesn't open and ice doesn't come out. This was apparently the the problem with the original part and is a design flaw. I ended up disengaging the tension spring on the original part so that the chute door is always open. The ice now flows freely.
