Sears got it right the first time!
Base of water filter holder broke. Removed old and installed new filter and broke the base in the process. Whirlpool or KitchenAid should say to hold the back of the base when installing new filter and vasoline should be used on the O rings. Sears got it right the first time by sending me the right part at a very fair price. Received it fast. Good job.

Easy to install
Very easy to install. It's only four clips and no screws. I did have to use a small flathead screwdriver to press the clips inward to remove the old one. The new one snapped in without any tools

Replacing A Sears Refrigerator Water Filter Plate
It was very easy installing my Sears refrigerator water filter plate. It was an uncomplicated process dealing with the Parts Dept. It's good to know that although my refrigerator is14 years old, I can still order authentic Sears replacement parts.
