Bad Washer Water Inlet Valve Causing Water to Leak

Washer was leaking into drum in between washes. Determined, by shutting off water, that it was a bad washer water inlet valve. Ordered OEM replacement valve from Sears, which arrived in 3 days. Install was fairly easy, taking about 2 hours to remove the old valve and replace with new valve. Water leak was resolved by replacing the valve.

Water Intake valve for Electrolux washer

Great OEM product. The product was great. Only gave a 4 star rating because of how it was packaged in the box for shipping was not the best.

Install took about 30 minutes,

The top comes off with two screws in the back, and slides. You need a square bit for your driver. The water valve comes off with three screws under the tubes. Little hard to get on them, but with shorter driver now problem. I took out the cip that holds vent tube and water inlets in place first so I could get more room by taking out the vent extension tube. You remove this by taking a straight screw seriver and lifting up on the clips around each piece and slowly working it out. Oh and disconnect the wire by lifting the tabs from the clips and removing. Works like a champ.

Washer water inlet valve

not a DIY project had a trained professional who knew exactly what he was doing and it took him 30 mins to install. Hard to access to replace screw so you needed to know what you were doing to blndly tighten screw. Also had to take the two lil black Rubber gaskets off the broken part and place on new part (because it doesnt come with them) or would have had a leak.
