Refrigerator Inverter Kit (replaces WR55X10490, WR55X10979) WR49X10283

Ive had to replace this 6 years ago on my 14 year old built in, very easy part to replace and glad to see new one looks like it was better designed to deal with heat.

This is my second time using Sears Parts direct, the pricing was the best and the parts came in factory sealed bags and were a direct fit. I would never use any body else. Accuracy in my opinion is very important. Sears Parts Direct has it

When the electrical power came back on after a storm knocked it out for a day, our refrigerator was not working. The lights were on and the control panel was lit up as normal but the temps were over 45. After cleaning the compressor coils and checking that the fans were operating, I narrowed the probable cause to be from a power surge that hit either the main control board and/or the inverter. I ordered both from SearsPartsDirect on a Sunday night. The first to arrive was the control board on Tuesday (!) but swapping this out did not fix the problem. The inverter then arrived the next day and when this was installed the fridge/freezer was back in business. Fantastic!
