How to defrost your Edgestar compact refrigerator

• Defrost your Kenmore compact refrigerator whenever frost accumulates to a thickness of 1/8-inch or more on freezer walls.
• Remove and safely store all food from the refrigerator before starting the defrost procedure. Remove the ice cube tray from the freezer compartment.
• Unplug the refrigerator and prop open the refrigerator door. Open the freezer compartment door.
• Place a drip tray on the shelf under the freezer compartment.
• Defrosting will take several hours.
• After defrosting, remove and empty drip tray.
• Wipe down the interior of the refrigerator and freezer compartment.
• Plug in the refrigerator and return the food into the refrigerator. Refill the ice tray and load it in the freezer compartment. Close the freezer compartment and the refrigerator door.

How to clean the condenser coils on your Edgestar compact refrigerator

• Unplug the refrigerator to disconnect electrical power.
• Pull the refrigerator out from the wall or from under the counter so you can access the condenser coils on the back of the refrigerator.
• Use a brush to clean dust and dirt off the condenser coils. Vacuum the area to pick up the dust.
• Move the refrigerator back into place and plug in the power cord to restore electrical power.
