2. Make sure that the flow control arm is in the off position so the flow control plate is shut before filling the hopper with fertilizer.
3. Fill the hopper with fertilizer. Break up any lumps of fertilizer in the hopper so fertilizer spreads evenly.
4. Set the proper flow rate setting and determine the required speed of application.
5. Start the tractor in motion and open the flow plate to apply the fertilizer.
6. Close the flow plate before stopping the tractor to avoid creating a pile of fertilizer on the turf.
