Common Craftsman carpet cleaner replacement parts

  • Carpet brushes. Carpet brushes agitate carpet fibers during the cleaning process to loosen and remove dirt and debris from the carpet.
  • Recovery tank. The recovery tank collects cleaning solution that’s vacuumed up from the carpet during cleaning.
  • Vacuum motor. The vacuum motor rotates the vacuum fan assembly to create suction to pick up cleaning solution from the carpet.
  • Cleaning solution tank. The cleaning solution tank holds the cleaning solution until dispensed onto the carpet.
  • Brush filter. The brush filter traps dirt and debris from solution that's vacuumed up during carpet cleaning.

What to do when your Craftsman carpet cleaner won't spray cleaning solution on the carpet

  • Check the cleaning solution tank. Make sure the tank has cleaning solution. Check for a clog in the cleaning solution tank.
  • Check the spray nozzle for a clog. Clean the spray nozzle if it's clogged with dirt or residue.
  • Unplug the carpet cleaner and check wiring between the pump and the switch assembly. Reconnect any loose wires and repair any broken wires.
  • If these troubleshooting tips don't help, then you may need to replace the pump or the switch assembly.
