Part doesnt last

This is the second agitator I've installed in the same washing machine, in less than a year. It wasnt difficult to install, but the part/washing machine wasn't built well enough to last. I installed 2nd agitator 2 wks ago, and it's already broken. I'll be purchasing a new washing machine in the near future, but it wont be a Sears product.
