No fire one bank

My 26 hp tractor (Vanguard) motor had occasional miss fire, but progressively became continuous, and really running poorly. Looked at spark plugs out. One had a white diode, the other black, and had a strong smell of gas. So I removed the flywheel cover and changed out the ignition module that controlled that fouled plug. Setting the gap between the flywheel magnet and the module has to be exact. My feeler gauge isn't long enough to reach both posts on the ig mod so I used a business card between ig mod and flywheel magnet, Sure enough she is purring like a kitten again. Some guys said they had trouble with those screws breaking off. They are very small and proned to a lot of rust build up, so I was very careful. I am pretty sure if I tweaked them one speck more the head could have snapped off like a twig. The module Sears sent me came with new screws, so I definitely used them.
